Industry News Florida Hospital Celebration Florida Hospital Celebration Health Patient Tower wins 'Project of the Year' Florida Hospital Celebration Health Patient Tower in Celebration, Fla. recently won Project of the Year from Associated Builders and Contractors' Central Florida chapter. Held annually, ABC's Awards of Excellence Program is a competition that recognizes outstanding construction projects across the nation within a variety of industries. Built by Brasfield & Gorrie, the 252,000-square-foot facility includes a patient wing addition, new ambulance entrance and an emergency department imaging suite. The tower features 62 new patient beds, 31 new emergency department exam rooms, two emergency department operating room suites, a new pharmacy and lab and two shell floors for future expansion. PDC Summit to focus on developments in healthcare reform, disaster planning Registration is open for the 2013 International Summit & Exhibition on Health Facility Planning, Design & Construction, which features important updates on key developments over the past year. Health Care Institute of IFMA names new leaders San Francisco, Calif. The Associated General Contractors of Ohio recognized the 12-story, 750,000-square-foot Nationwide Children's Hospital with a Build Ohio Award in the Construction Management category.
