People News In brief George Watts has joined KLMK Group, Inc. as a principal consultant, and will be based in the firm's Dallas, Texas office. He brings more than 30 years of experience in real estate owners' representation, preconstruction and construction project management and executive management in the construction industry. Healthcare Art Consulting has hired Katie J. Nichols, Candace Kalugyer and John Oakley. As account executive, Nichols' role will be to maintain and accrue new accounts, as well as be responsible for business development within the healthcare sector. As project coordinator, Kalugyer will support the executive sales team with project design, facilitation and fulfillment. As creative services coordinator, Oakley will support the creative and design team with project coordination and installment services at hospitals and medical facilities. JCJ Architecture has named Linda J. Mitchell, principal, as part of the company's continued growth into new strategic markets. From the firm's San Diego, Calif. office, Mitchell will expand the firm's pursuits into the healthcare market. In his new position, Nicholas will lend his healthcare and higher education experience to project delivery and business development activities. HGA Architects and Engineers has hired Jess Boardman as a mechanical designer and Hannah Hendrick as an interior designer for its Rochester, Minn. office. Boardman specializes in the design of mechanical and plumbing systems for healthcare projects. He is treasurer of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Rochester section, and past secretary from 2008 to 2010. Hannah Hendrick specializes in the design and planning of interior spaces for K-12, higher education, healthcare, corporate and hospitality projects. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and served as a committee member for the Fresno City Center Chapter of IIDA. James May, AIA, LEED AP has joined , Perkins+Will as managing principal of the New York office of the firm's Healthcare Practice. With more than 20 years of experience, May is widely recognized as a key player in the New York healthcare market. Marni T. Murdock, ACHA, LEED AP principal , at Architects Hawaii Ltd., recently attained Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification. She is one of two professionals in Hawaii holding this certification. Murdock has extensive experience with more than 20 years in healthcare and laboratory design involving facility planning and knowledge of complex equipment. Cindy Adams Francis has joined BSA LifeStructures as a senior interior designer in its St. Louis office. Francis comes to the firm from Hospital Building Equipment, where she participated in design development and interior design for healthcare settings. She will use her more than 20 years of experience to link exterior and interior environments with improved patient and user outcomes. ETC Building & Design, Inc. has appointed Timothy L. Jacoby as CEO. Jacoby will be responsible for all facets of the company's operations throughout its San Diego, Los Angeles and Bay Area offices. He previously served as vice president of facilities, real estate planning, construction, plant operations and maintenance at Rady Children's Hospital from 2003 to 2012.
