The module provides information on the systems used, as outlined in the National Fire Protection Association's Health Care Facili- ties Code. It also provides information on the professional qualifi cations required to work on medical gas and vacuum systems, as out- lined in ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 6000, Professional Standard for Medical Gas Sys- tems Personnel. For details, visit nccer.org. Interprise Design Expands Healthcare Offerings, Acquires Lee Design Group Interprise Design has ac- quired Lee Design Group. Interprise, a commercial design fi rm most often noted for its interior de- sign services, will leverage this acquisition to expand its services in architecture design, while continuing to enhance its interior design capabilities. Lee Design Group specialized in healthcare, corporate, retail, hospitality/senior living and retail design. By way of the transac- tion, Lee Design Group Founder, Dan Lee, joined Interprise as vice presi- dent of architecture and business development. Along with Interprise president and CEO, Carey Austin, and additional leaders new to the fi rm, Lee will help the fi rm build on its strong, 32-year foundation while expand- ing full design services. The St. Jude Medical Center Northwest Tower in Fullerton, California recently received two Alliant Build America awards in the categories of Partnering Excellence and Design-Build Merit from the Associated General Contractors of America. The tower was a collective ef ort of St. Jude Medical Center, Petra-ICS, McCarthy Building Companies and Taylor Design. The project entailed construction of a four-story, 200,000-square-foot hospital connected to an existing tower; a 20,000-square-foot central utility plant; a 215-car parking structure expansion and re-routing of major site utilities on an active medical campus. The project team overcame various project challenges and exceeded expectations by implementing Lean construction methods, utilizing technological advancements and ef ectively harnessing the talents of the team through Integrated Design-Build delivery.
