Stanley Beaman & Sears Names New Director of Healthcare Planning Karen Freeman , AIA, ACHA, NCIDQ, LEED BD+C, has been promoted to director of healthcare planning for the Atlanta, Georgia of ce of Stanley Beaman & Sears. She has been involved in the planning and design of nearly 2 million square feet of healthcare facilities, representing nearly $1 billion in construction cost. Karen Freeman Jeff Davenport Steve Dailey , a FACHE and Board Certifi ed Healthcare Executive with more than 30 years of experience, joins The Korte Company's Health- care Division as a healthcare analyst. He will provide clients with practical, strategic, operational, programmatic and fi nancial planning expertise dur- ing design and construction projects. Breton (Brett) Flanders has joined Tocci Building Companies as project executive/director of construction. He has 25 years of experience in design and engineering on a variety of hospital, healthcare and higher- education projects. He is overseeing tasks on Tocci's program manage- ment project for Boston Medical Center's clinical campus redesign. Zlatka Lennihan , AIA, LEED AP, has been appointed senior associate/ senior project manager in Francis Cauffman's healthcare division. Bev- erley Spencer , CID, LEED AP, EDAC, CDT has been appointed as senior interior designer. Lennihan has over 20 years of experience representing both the design team and the owner's interests in the delivery of facilities. Spencer has 15 years of experience in healthcare design and is profi cient in all phases of development from initial concept to completion. BSA LifeStructures recently welcomed senior project manager Catherine Demmitt , and senior project architect Rick Hines to its Raleigh, North Carolina offi ce. Demmitt brings more than 30 years of experience as a healthcare architect and facility director. Hines brings more than 15 years of experience as a project architect and a building information modeling expert. Ralph Hawkins , FAIA, FACHA, chairman, HKS, Inc. was recently presented with the American College of Healthcare Architects Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is conferred by the national ACHA Board of Regents in recognition of a signifi cant body of work of lasting infl uence on the theory and practice of healthcare architecture. Lorraine Fisher has joined HOK as a principal and director of interiors in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She brings 34 years of experience in the planning and development of large-scale interiors projects. In her role, Fisher will oversee operations and client relationship management while serving as principal-in-charge for projects. She comes to HOK from Jacobs, where she was an interior design principal. Her healthcare planning experience ranges from complex, phased renovation projects to freestanding facilities at large academic medical centers. She has earned her Board Certifi cate in healthcare architecture by the American College of Healthcare Architects, joining the ranks of over 400 ACHA colleagues in the U.S. and Canada who have received this designation. CallisonRTKL's Operational Excellence Group Gains New Expertise in Dallas, Texas Cortney Asberry has been added to Calli- sonRTKL's Operational Excellence Group as an associate vice president in the Dallas, Texas of ce. Asberry has an extensive background in process improvement, clinical nursing and healthcare operations. In her new role, she will partner closely with clients and internal partners to target operational opportunities in improving pro- cesses, boosting ef ciency and streamlining productivity. Asberry is a certifi ed and experienced Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. She comes to CallisonRTKL from Cook Children's Health Care System where she was the director of process improvement and responsible for leading a team of specialists to implement improvements in operational ef ciency, patient and physician satisfaction and quality of care throughout the healthcare system.
