Patrick Peterson Promoted to McCarthy Senior VP of Healthcare Services in Southern California Patrick Peterson has been promoted to senior vice president of McCarthy Build- ing Companies' healthcare services for the fi rm's Southern California division. A 25-year veteran of the construction industry, Peterson has made signifi cant contributions to some of McCarthy's most successful projects in Southern California. In his new role, Peterson will be responsible for the suc- cessful operations of all healthcare projects delivered from Mc- Carthy's Newport Beach, California of ce. In addition, he will provide leadership to the company's project executives and implement strategic approaches to new opportunities for McCarthy clients. HITT Adds New Vice President to Healthcare Team Sara Collins was recently named vice president for HITT Healthcare and brings 20 years of experience in construction operations, preconstruction and business development. Her resume includes expe- rience on the facilities staf at a world- renowned academic medical center, and development of several $100M+ Design- Build and P3 projects. As vice president, she is responsible for the safe and skillful execution of new construction and renovation of health- care facilities, laboratories and other clinical environments. Additionally, she is responsible for client and partner relations and the acquisition of new work. Collins is a Certifi ed Healthcare Constructor and mem- ber of CASHE, VSHE, ABC and ULI. She is serving a term on the board of directors for both Women in Healthcare and Habi- tat for Humanity of Northern Virginia. New Associate Principal Named at Michael Graves Architecture & Design James Wisniewski , AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, was recently named associate princi- pal at Michael Graves Architecture & De- sign. He joined the fi rm in 2001 and of ers experience designing for public, private and not-for-profi t sector clients. As project manager for many of the fi rm's healthcare, edu- cation and hospitality projects, he focuses on the pragmatic details, as well as the intangible elements of design and space that yield human- centered solutions. Most recently, he was lead designer and project manager for the renovation of the Center for Restorative Care and emer- gency department design concepts at Yale New Haven Hospital. The Korte Company Expands Healthcare Division Christopher Gilliam has joined The Korte Company as vice president of healthcare. With more than 25 years of construction supervision and project management experience, he has over- seen a wide range of large-scale healthcare projects across the U.S. Scott Schweiger AIA, LEED AP BD+C, will serve as a senior medical planner at The Korte Company. He has more than 29 years of experience as an architect, specializing in healthcare architec- ture. He has pro- grammed and planned healthcare facilities both nationally and internationally, includ- ing regional medical centers, critical access hospitals, specialty care facilities and am- bulatory care facilities. Stephen Dailey , a FACHE and Board- Certifi ed Healthcare Executive with more than 30 years of experience, has joined The Korte Company as a health- care analyst. He will provide clients with practical, strategic, operational, program- matic and fi nancial planning expertise for design and construction projects. Healthcare Practice Leader Named Principal at Shepley Bulfi nch Shepley Bulfi nch has named Cathy Lange AIA, LEED AP, a leader in the fi rm's healthcare practice, as principal. She has close to 30 years of experience in architecture, and a passion for health- care planning and client relationships. Lange has cham- pioned the promotion of Lean planning, design and operations, developing an in- house curriculum for the fi rm and driving the implementation of process improvements. Lange joined Shepley Bulfi nch in 2000 and became an Rebecca Lewis Appointed Fellow of the AIA DSGW's principal Rebecca Lewis , FAIA, FACHA, CID, has been appointed Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. She brings nationally recognized medical design expertise to small and isolated communities, and represents AIA in creating healthcare design codes for projects across the country, while leading the profession to improve wellness in rural America. Since 2003, she has served as the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health representative to the Facility Guidelines Institute. This role requires active participation on the Health Guidelines Revision Committee. She leads as co-chair of the AIA-AAH Codes and Standards Forum, sharing new healthcare-related design standards to meet emerg- ing and unmet needs in all types of healthcare facilities.
