Throughout Mills' 32-year career in the healthcare industry, he has fought to make patient environments safer and healthier. He is considered one of the foremost experts in the fi eld of hospital operations and has a thorough understanding of the fi nancial, operational and regulatory challenges faced by hospitals. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering, a Certifi ed Healthcare Facility Manager, a Certifi ed Energy Manager and a Certifi ed Healthcare Safety Professional. Krusinski Construction Grows Healthcare Team Krusinski Construction Company recently expanded its healthcare team and welcomed David Paulaskas , CHC, CHFM, as project executive. He brings over 20 years of experience in the design and construction industries. In his role, Paulaskas will continue to develop the fi rm's healthcare portfolio and strategic opportunities. Salvatore Natale also recently joined as senior superintendent. He will tap his 30 years of healthcare and com- mercial experience to continually improve the fi rm's healthcare safety practices and fi eld methods. He is re- sponsible for managing the fi eld operations on medical and specialty care projects. As project manager, Sean Donald has completed numerous healthcare facility construction programs across the coun- try with clients such as the Department of Veteran Aff airs and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. His role will focus on the coordination and execution of the fi rm's healthcare group projects. Hammes Appoints New Vice President for Facility Development Marvin Daniels has recently joined Hammes Company as vice president for facility development in charge of large-scale capital improvement programs for private and public healthcare providers. Healthcare Mega-Projects Expert Added to Leo A Daly Los Angeles Team Phan Luc, AIA, EDAC, has been hired as vice president and project director at Leo A Daly. Working out of the Los Angeles, California offi ce, she will be in charge of developing the vision and talent behind large, complex healthcare design projects. Luc has over 20 years of domestic and international healthcare experience. During that time she has delivered more than 7 million square feet of healthcare design across many cultures, and has led eff orts in all facets of project development. She joins from HMC architects, where she was a healthcare principal. "Phan is a brilliant architect with a rare expertise in leading mega- projects. Her ability to guide clients and design teams through complex, critical decisions will be a huge asset to our practice," said Roy Follmuth, P.E., managing principal of the Los Angeles offi ce. Array Expands New York Healthcare Leadership Team Dennis Robert , AIA, has joined Array Architects as a principal. He will work out of the fi rm's New York City offi ce, which supports clients throughout greater Manhattan and New Jersey. Robert has dedicated his career to the pursuit and delivery of optimal design and planning solutions for healthcare organizations throughout the nation. His interest in the business side of healthcare off ers his clients a comfort level with the assurance he is looking at the built environment, keeping his eyes fi xed on both ROI and customer satisfaction. George Mills Joins JLL as Director of Healthcare Technical Operations To focus on improving patient safety and clinical outcomes, as well as reducing Joe Sprague Elected to ASHE Board Joe Sprague , FAIA, FACHA, has been elected to serve a two- year term as associate member director on the board of directors of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. A principal at HKS and MCD editorial board member, he is widely published and a frequent lecturer in health facility plan- ning, design and construction. He is a lifetime member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering, a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects, a Fellow in the American Col- lege of Healthcare Architects and a Fellow in the Health Facility Institute. Sprague is past president of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health and is chairman emeritus of the FGI "Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities." He is also the former president of both the Facility Guidelines Institute and the American College of Healthcare Architects.
