Lauren Janney of Lens Joins Emergency Medicine Advisory Board at Brigham and Women's Hospital Lauren Janney , EDAC, LEED AP, prin- cipal strategist of Lens, a creative con- sulting studio of architecture fi rm Shep- ley Bulfi nch, has joined the Emergency Medicine Advisory Board at Brigham and Women's Hospital for a three-year term. The board provides advice to support the expan- sion of an improved patient- and family centered emergency medicine depart- ment and the delivery of high-quality, personalized and effi cient care at BWH. For more than a decade, Janney has focused her career on helping organi- zations leverage data analytics, visual thinking, service design thinking and implementation science to drive in- novation in healthcare delivery. As the studio leader for Lens, she helps teams create innovative new service lines, build meaningful experiences and increase collaboration among multidisciplinary teams by engaging frontline staff in the design process. Petra Integrated Construction Strategies Welcomes Craig Beam as President Petra Integrated Construction Strate- gies (Petra ICS) has selected Craig Beam as its new president. For over 40 years, Beam has been a thought leader in the healthcare real estate, planning and construc- tion industries. He has overseen the develop- ment and management of a broad range of real estate with a focus on healthcare and institutional projects. His work includes the development of hospital, medical offi ce and ambulatory facilities. In addition to his project ex- perience, he has led numerous strategic planning, portfolio restructuring and merger and acquisition transactions for major health systems. expertise to guide pre-design planning and support informed, effi cient design delivery processes. As a senior architect and healthcare principal, Sutton will elevate the fi rm's Evidence-Based, patient-centric design approach. An industry veteran of more than 30 years, Stanton has assisted more than 100 hospitals and healthcare systems with a variety of planning needs, including master planning, functional and space programming, operational assessments and implementation of performance-improvement initiatives. Stanton is a registered nurse with clinical experience in acute impatient care, outpatient ambulatory services and clinical research. She is Evidence-Based Design certifi ed and committed to basing decisions about the built environment on credible research. Sutton will draw on her 28 years of experience as a healthcare architect working with hospitals and academic medical centers to focus on strategic planning, helping clients solve some of their biggest challenges. Healthcare Veteran Dan Morgan Joins BWBR Dan Morgan , AIA, EDAC, a healthcare architect who has spent his 32-year career helping organizations transform and improve the way they deliver care, recently joined BWBR. Trained in Evidence- Based Design, Morgan has served both large and small healthcare organizations to examine their practices and fi nd solutions that create more effi cient and patient-centered facilities. Morgan has spent his career working in the southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois market. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee College of Architecture and Urban Planning, he most recently worked at Kahler Slater where he provided project People movers & shakers IN BRIEF Hammes Company has appointed Douglas Coover as vice president of facility development in Columbus, Ohio. He brings an extensive background in project delivery and project management. Coover was recently appointed as an international expert consultant for the International Joint Commission and has experience with strategic planning on large healthcare projects that require an understanding and appreciation for clinical operations and process improvement. Paul Sabal , director of healthcare, Bates Architects, has earned his Board Certifi cation in healthcare architecture from the American College of Healthcare Architects. He joins the ranks of over 400 ACHA colleagues in the United States and Canada who have received this credential. Mark Orsini , P.E., S.E., has recently been named a principal at O'Donnell & Naccarato. Over the past 16 years, he has designed and managed a range of healthcare, education, multi-family, commercial and parking projects. He is leading a team for Pinnacle Health's 230,000-square-foot York replacement hospital and central utility plant. Kiran Shivaramu has joined Healthcare Building Solutions as senior project manager in the fi rm's Dallas, Texas offi ce. Shivaramu will focus on managing the design and construc- tion of complex capital healthcare projects. He has over 20 years of construction experience. Tina L. Du Mond , AIA, ACHA, EDAC, LEED GA, has joined Hord Coplan Macht's Denver, Colorado practice as senior healthcare architect. She has over 13 years of experience with the fi rm and is board certifi ed by the American College of Healthcare Architects. She will collaborate with Mary Morissette, FAIA, principal, at Hord Coplan Macht, to expand the offi ce's healthcare practice. Craig McInroy , AIA, was recently named associate vice president and healthcare principal of HGA's San Francisco, California offi ce. He will help direct strategic growth and client relations for the offi ce's Healthcare Practice Group serving clients in northern California.
