Department of Veterans Aff airs'
Charlotte Health Care Center
in Charlotte, North Carolina
has been awarded the 2017
John L. Martin Partnered
Project of the Year Award, in
the category of Buildings/
Public Infrastructure Projects
between $25-250 million, by the
International Partnering
Institute.
Completed in January 2016,
this outpatient center is — to
date — the largest VA health
facility in the United States,
augmenting the Salisbury VA
Health Care System, which
serves about 94,000 veterans
per year (2014).
The award honors project
teams who have exhibited the
highest levels of collaboration
on projects completed in 2016.
Childress Klein and Cambridge
teamed with RPA Design, PC
and J.E. Dunn Construction
Group and, together with
the Department of Veterans
Aff airs, utilized Neal Flesner
and Ventura Consulting Group
throughout the process.
