DuPont Hospital for Children, in Wilmington, Delaware, where he man- aged the $288-million, 200-bed pediatric inpatient tower expansion, a $158-million infrastructure project and $350-million in master plan renova- tions. Prior to that role, he spent 18 years with The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, includ- ing as assistant director of project management. His early experi- ence includes six years as an engineering design professional concentrating on institutional infrastructure. Eduardo Egea Joins Stantec to Help Lead Healthcare Practice in Florida Stantec has hired Eduardo Egea , AIA, to help lead the healthcare practice in Florida. From Stantec's Miami offi ce, Egea will help the company continue to expand its healthcare strategy and design capabilities in Florida, the Gulf Region and beyond. Egea has over 23 years of experience as a healthcare managing principal at some of the world's top architecture fi rms, becoming a trusted advisor to clients throughout the U.S., the Caribbean and South America. His vast experience has ranged from system-wide master plans and designing large-scale medical and academic facilities, to hospital expansions and renovations. Joshua Theodore Joins Leo A Daly as Global Health Practice Leader Leo A Daly has strengthened its inter- national healthcare design practice with the hiring of Joshua Theodore , B. Arch, ACHE, EDAC, as vice president, global health practice leader. Theodore will be responsible for strategy, business devel- opment and overall design excellence in the fi rm's healthcare projects worldwide. He will be based out of Dal- las, Texas. Theodore brings 27 years of experience in the planning and design of a wide range of healthcare facilities, from medical centers and physicians' offi ces, to population health management systems for entire countries. David Watkins Retires, Charles Griffi n Appointed to Lead EYP Health David Watkins , FAIA, has retired as the healthcare leader of EYP Health. He will continue to serve on EYP's board of directors. The legacy of healthcare design Scott Reed Joins HMC as Los Angeles Healthcare Principal in Charge Scott Reed , AIA, LEED AP, has joined the HMC Architects' healthcare practice in Los Angeles, California to bolster its growth and expertise. Serving as prin- cipal in charge, he brings a wealth of in- dustry-leading experience and a unique skillset rooted in advanced critical think- ing, innovation and genuine knowledge of healthcare clients' key drivers and business challenges. Previously with CannonDesign and NBBJ, Reed served as principal in charge on landmark projects, such as the UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center in La Jolla, California and Kaiser Permanente Orange County – Anaheim Medical Center in Anaheim, California. CallisonRTKL Adds Associate VPs in Health Sciences Practice Group Roland Binker has joined the Cal- lisonRTKL Health Sciences Practice Group. He will be located in the Wash- ington, D.C. studio and will focus on medical planning and programming to trans- late client visions and project goals into built projects. He brings nearly 40 years of ex- perience to the team. Kathy LaGro has joined CallisonRTKL's Health Sciences Practice Group as associate vice presi- dent. Veteran Healthcare Construction Professional Joins IMC Construction as Project Director Veteran healthcare construction profes- sional Arthur A. Brinkworth , P.E., has joined IMC Construction as a project director. With 32 years of experience, including 25 in healthcare facilities management, he will lend his skills and expertise to oversee the fi rm's ongoing healthcare projects. Scott Rawlings Joins HOK as a Director of Healthcare Scott Rawlings , AIA, FACHA, LEED AP, comes to HOK as a director of Healthcare and leader of the fi rm's regional Healthcare practice in Washington, D.C. Rawlings brings to HOK more than 25 years of experience guiding the master planning, programming and design of signifi cant healthcare facility projects worldwide. He joins Paul Strohm, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, Thomas Quigley, AIA, LEED AP, and Dorothy Lloyd, AIA, as a director of HOK's fi rm- wide Healthcare group, and will lead the D.C.-based Healthcare practice. Rawlings holds a master's degree in architecture with a concentration in health- care facility design from the Clemson University Architecture + Health Studio. He is a registered architect, a founding member and fellow of the American College of Health- care Architects, a longtime member and past national president of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health and a frequent speaker, writer and lecturer.
