Seasoned Healthcare Facility Design Expert Joins New York Offi ce of Perkins Eastman Jason Harper AIA, LEED AP, a healthcare facility design veteran, has recently joined Perkins Eastman's leadership in its New York City offi ce as a principal. He has honed his skills in healthcare facility design throughout his 30-year career, successfully guiding global clients through complex, multi-phased planning and construction projects. Harper has managed the design of large-scale projects, including the Sheik Zayed Tower and Bloomberg Children's Center projects at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was the principal planner for the Başakşehir Integrated Health Campus in Istanbul, Turkey. Harper, an associate principal at Perkins + Will for nine years and a principal at Guenther 5 Architects for three years, is co-chair of the AIA NY Health Facilities Committee. After Hurricane Sandy, he led eff orts to increase the resiliency of NYC's hospitals and healthcare facilities. He frequently speaks about health district planning and healthcare facility design at conferences and authors articles on these subjects for various publications. Ryan Architecture and Engineering Makes Key Hires in Healthcare Sector Alena (Sakalouski) Johnson , AIA, has recently joined Ryan A+E as director of healthcare architecture and will lead day- to-day operations of the healthcare design team. A member of AIA and co-chair of the Healthcare Architec- ture committee, she brings a depth of expe- rience, which includes work on Mother Baby Centers at United Hos- pital, Abbott North- western and Mercy Hospital, in addition to a multitude of other healthcare projects around the region. Adam McLane , AIA, NCARB, has also recently joined the healthcare team as se- nior architect, with deep experience and Board of Directors Grows for Health Care Institute The Health Care Institute has welcomed two new members to its board: Jonni Johnson , chief reinvention offi cer and senior vice president, FKP and Mark S. Johnson , CPM, executive vice president, Healthcare Services, Avison Young. Jonni is a senior level strategic and operational thinker who enjoys advancing the healthcare and AEC industry in the pursuit of client delight. James Selmser to Lead AECOM Healthcare Program Management Practice in Texas James Selmser has been named as the Texas healthcare program director at AECOM. Selmser's vast healthcare experi- ence allows the fi rm to continue a focus on providing high-quality healthcare program and project management to partners and clients in Texas. With 21 years of experience in construction management and business development, he has collaborated on various healthcare, commercial, HOK's Leah Hofferkamp Earns National Interior Design Award The American Society of Interior Designers is honoring HOK's Leah Hoff erkamp as a future leader in the interior design profession. Hoff erkamp, an architect in HOK's St. Louis, Missouri studio, was named a 2017 ASID Ones to Watch award winner. The award recognizes rising leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and a willingness to push the boundaries of the interior design profession. Hoff erkamp focuses on projects for HOK's healthcare clients. Her recent projects have included the BJC HealthCare Washington University School of Medicine Campus Renewal project in St. Louis, development projects for Indiana University Health in Central Indiana and the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.
