Robert Stone Named BOND Director of Preconstruction for Healthcare and Life Sciences Division Robert Stone has recently joined BOND as the new director of preconstruction of its Healthcare and Life Sciences division. In this newly cre- ated role, he will use his experience to ensure clients' needs are addressed and resolved early on, lead- ing to a smooth and effi cient construction process. He has more than 35 years of experience focused in preconstruction, estimating and value engineering for complex laboratory, biopharmaceutical and high-tech manufacturing clients. Business Development Leadership Expands for HGA Healthcare Market Sector Kate Mullaney , CPSM, and Katie Smith have been named healthcare market sec- tor business developers at HGA Archi- tects and Engineers. As national healthcare business developer, Mullaney will work with fi rm- wide leadership, principals, designers and specialists across eight offi ces to develop and implement business opportunities with leading healthcare organizations nationally, from HGA's Milwaukee, Wisconsin offi ce. She has more than 15 years of marketing and business development experience in the architecture industry, including prior experience with a global fi rm in the healthcare, science and technology sectors. Most recently, she led business development for HGA's Arts, Community and Education practice in the Great Lakes Region. As regional healthcare business developer for the Great Lakes Region, Smith will collaborate with principals, designers and marketing staff to identify new business opportunities, build client relations and coordinate marketing strategies from the fi rm's Milwaukee offi ce. Her experience working with the regional and national practice leaders enables her to successfully lead eff orts for the Great Lakes Region. Healthcare Design Firm CR Goodman Associates Rebrands as CRGA Design CR Goodman Associates has rebranded as CRGA Design. Since 1982, the fi rm has focused on healthcare architecture. Charles (Chuck) Goodman , AIA, EDAC, founder, will continue as a principal in the fi rm. Sandy Goodman , IIDA, CHID, LEED AP, EDAC, will continue to serve as president and managing principal. Led by Sandy, the fi rm is now a federally certifi ed Women- owned Small Business, an MBE/DBE/SBE certifi ed by the State of Maryland Department of Transportation and a certifi ed Small, Women-owned and Minority-owned Business certifi ed by the State of Virginia. His experience will contribute to the ongoing development of the fi rm's discovery market, the term the fi rm uses to describe research facility projects. Kreitlein brings to the fi rm 25 years of experience in lab design and planning. His passion for sustainable design is apparent through his innovative approaches and his participation in the local chapter of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories in Phoenix, Arizona as board member and past vice president. He has been an employee of the fi rm for 23 years, primarily involved in healthcare construction projects. In addition to managing client projects, he will be responsible for the fi rm's healthcare business plan. Stantec Miami healthcare principal and architect Eduardo Egea has been named chair of the American Institute of Architects' Academy of Ar- chitecture for Health's fi rst Miami Chapter. He will promote the collaboration between professionals involved in healthcare design and construction. David M. Shapiro , M.D., has been appointed to the Facility Guidelines Institute's board of directors. Dr. Shapiro is an anesthesiologist with extensive experience in ambulatory surgery center management. David Ainsworth , P.E., was recently named associate vice president and senior mechanical engineer in HGA Architects and Engineers' Sacramento, California offi ce.
