He has over 11 years of experience as a healthcare designer and planner. His experience includes all phases of project work from concept visioning and development through fi nal construction documents on a wide range of project experience in the U.S., Canada and the Middle East. With a focus on strategic development and master planning, Grossnicklaus believes in partnering with users to connect mission, vision and priorities to develop meaningful solutions for staff , patients and family. People movers & shakers David Moga Joins Mohagen Hansen to Expand Healthcare Portfolio David Moga has joined Mohagen Hansen Architecture | Interiors as a senior architect and project manager focused on healthcare planning and design. In this role, Moga will provide dedicated leadership to continue to grow the fi rm's experience within a variety of acute care facilities. Moga joins the fi rm with over 20 years of healthcare experience. Daniel Abeln , AIA, serves as FGI Appoints Neil Halpern to Board of Directors Neil A. Halpern , M.D., MCCM, FACP, FCCP, has been appointed to The Facility Guidelines Institute's board of directors. Dr. Halpern is chief of Critical Care Medicine and medical director of Respiratory Therapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Professor of Medicine and Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College, both in New York City. During his tenure on the FGI board, Dr. Halpern hopes to bring greater focus to informatics as an integral component of managing the healthcare environment — one that is ubiquitous in every aspect of care whether the patient is at home, in an operating room or in an ICU. "I have spent years designing ICUs, writing about and speaking about ICU design," said Dr. Halpern.
