New Healthcare Practice Group Leader Named for HGA HGA Architects and Engineers has hired Robert Cull , AIA, LEED AP BD+C, as associate vice president and healthcare practice group leader in the Los Angeles, California offi ce. He will direct new business development opportunities, client relations and team processes for the growing healthcare group serving clients in southern California. Cull has more than 30 years of experience leading planning, design and delivery of large, complex healthcare projects throughout California and nationally. His work includes campus master planning, academic medical centers, acute care facilities, ambulatory care centers and clinics. People movers & shakers IN BRIEF Joe Porostosky , director of facilities informa- tion and technology services, The Ohio State University, has been appointed to the Health Care Institute's board of directors, adding new representation of segments within the healthcare facilities management sector. Michael Spychala and Claude Tremblay have recently joined DP Electric Inc. as senior project managers. Spychala brings more than 15 years of construction management experience and a deep knowledge of the healthcare sector. Tremblay joins the fi rm after 12 years as project manager for Delta Diversifi ed Enterprises, with an expertise in mission critical projects. Liz Schmitz , RA, LEED AP, EDAC, has joined Stantec as a healthcare planner in the company's Houston, Texas offi ce. Schmitz brings 12 years of experience providing medical planning and proj- ect management services for a variety of projects within the healthcare industry. Mary Morissette , FAIA, LEED AP, has joined Hord Coplan Macht as principal and is respon- sible for growth of the fi rm's healthcare studio in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. She brings over 20 years of experience to the fi rm. Andrew Mitchell , AIA, senior associate at MKM architecture + design, has earned ACHA certifi cation. The American College of Healthcare Architects offers this certifi cation for architects who practice as healthcare specialists. Roughly 480 architects in the U.S. have obtained this certifi cation. Kathy O'Connor has been named vice president of advisory services at Hammes Company. She brings over 20 years of experience in strategic planning development, clinical and operational analyses and process improvement.
