Offi ce as Healthcare Practice Group Leader Dennis Vonasek , AIA, ACHA, has trans- ferred to the Washington, D.C. offi ce of HGA Architects and Engineers as vice president and healthcare practice group leader. He will direct strategic business development and client relations for the offi ce's growing Healthcare Practice Group serving the mid- Atlantic region. Vonasek has more than 25 years of health- care design, medical planning and project management experi- ence, including 15 years with HGA, where he most recently served as Healthcare Practice Group Leader in the Minneapolis, Minnesota offi ce. Under his leadership, he expanded client services in core specialties, includ- ing design for aging, behavioral health, emergency medical services, pediatrics, outpatient services, campus planning and international healthcare. Office Healthcare design expert Laurie McCoy has joined CannonDe- sign as a principal and the leader of its Los Angeles, California of- fi ce. She has 33 years of experience practicing design in Southern California, most recently with NBBJ where she led the fi rm's Los Angeles health market. Throughout her career, she has led the design and construction of future-focused facilities. In addition to leading the Los Angeles offi ce, she will be re- sponsible for leading healthcare projects throughout the region.
