MCDM AG.COM | M AY/ J U N E 2018 | Medical Construction & Design 17 Gloria Drummond Rehabilitation Institute Project Team Earns National Construction Award DPR's work on Florida's Boca Raton Regional Hospital's Gloria Drummond Rehabilitation Institute has earned the company a National Excellence in Construction Pyramid Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors in the Healthcare category. Representatives from DPR Construction and Design- Build partner, HKS Architects, received the award recently during ABC's 28th annual Excellence in Construction Awards celebration in Long Beach, California. The Excellence in Construction awards program is the industry's leading competi- tion that honors both general and specialty contractors for in- novative and high-quality merit shop construction projects. The award honors all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. The winning projects, selected from entries submitted from across the nation, were judged on complexity, attrac- tiveness, unique challenges, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost. AWARDS Cohen Architectural Woodworking Receives Award for Work on Delbert Day Cancer Institute Cohen Architectural Woodworking has been named a recipient of the Award of Excellence by the Architectural Woodworking Institute for its work with the Delbert Day Cancer Institute in Rolla, Missouri. The Delbert Day Cancer Institute at Phelps County Medical Center opened in 2017. It includes designated areas for radiation oncology, medical oncology, laboratory and imag- ing services, an infusion room, physician offi ces and areas for a community conference center, retail space and café. Cohen supplied the woodworking and fabrication for the facility, and design was by BSA Life Structures. Cohen fabricated maple wall dividers and nurses' stations, as well as high-pressure decorative laminate wall paneling for the facility.
