When Allegheny Health Network
identifi ed a need for diverse options
focused on coordinated wellness
in the western Pennsylvania
marketplace, the healthcare provider
also illuminated the need for
architects to turn the page on how
construction occurs in the industry.
AHN's goal was to create a fi rst-of-
its kind, transformational healthcare
facility that would raise the bar on
patient convenience, care coordination,
quality and service excellence.
Astorino, which has since merged
with CannonDesign, responded with
an integrated design-led construction
approach that delivered the new AHN
Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion
within a compressed schedule of 22
months. This achievement would have
been dif cult to accomplish using the
